Looking forward for Auction : Subrata Roy

Sahara Pune Warriors as well as Team Kochi have traveled upon parallel routes after bagging the privileges for their respective businesses within the public sale kept from Chennai earlier this past year.

Whilst Pune Warriors proved helpful like a well-oiled machine, liberating their team logo as well as determining the training employees, Kochi outfit resembled a rudderless vessel, slipping into 1 trouble after another. The trouble for that Kerala-based business began whenever former Indian Premier League chairman Lalit Modi tweeted concerning the irregularities within their ownership pattern.

It required models associated with conversations, negotiations, ultimatum from the Board of Control for Cricket in India to finally solve the matter and get the team on the right track. “It was a difficult period for all of us linked to the Kochi franchise. We were very near to the danger of getting terminated. But now the team is standing on the actual verge of public sale as well as playing within the IPL. Hopefully, things will fall in position for us to any extent further,” stated Shashi Tharoor, Mega pixel through Kerala and former Marriage Minister who pulled strings in the initial stages for that Kochi team.

Although they’ve been in good shape, Pune owners are very well aware that the job is just fifty percent done. “We really want to get out there and make some great putting in a bid for our group. It’s already been really thrilling few months for us, identifying players, trainer along with other assistance staff. We don’t think becoming the first time participants may affect all of us within anyhow,” Sushant Roy, who owns Sahara team, said.

IPL 2011 Format

IPl 2011 Format

Below is old format that was decided by BCCI before Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab were suspended. Since both have been suspended revised format has been posted at www.ipl-schedule.com

Because of inability of BCCI to host 94 matches that would have been because of additional of two new teams in the existing format, IPL Governing Council has announced new format for the IPL Season 4.  The format is based on New Zealand’s last year’s domestic T20 Tournament. Format was consider by Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gavaskar.

IPL 2011 Format.

  • Teams will be split in two groups each consisting five teams. Although points table will not be split separate for each team.
  • Each team will play two games (home and away) against each other in the same group. This way each team will play around 8 league games within the same group.
  • Now, each team will play one league game each against four teams (out of five) of another group and two league game (home and away) against the fifth team of the another group. In this way, each team will play 6 matches against another group’s teams.
  • So, each team will play 14 (8+6) matches (7 home and 7 away) in the league matches (Before Playoff).
  • After the league games of IPL are finished, playoff matches will begin which in fact the most controversial format of all.
  • Team that remains at either 1st or 2nd spot in the league table point will play either one or two games. The first playoff is Game A. Winner will go straight away to final.
  • Second Playoff (Game B) will be between two teams who were at 3rd and 4th spot in the league points table. Looser of Game B is out of league competition. Winner of Game B will still need to win third playoff (Game C) for entering into Finals of IPL 4.
  • Looser of Game A have one more chance before going out of race. Third and the last playoff match (Game C) will be between Looser of first playoff (Game A) and winner of second playoff (Game B).

If you still have confusion, just post comment and will let you reply on that.

Uttar Pradesh players to represent Sahara Pune Warriors – Subrata Roy

Adding more controversy to the Indian Premier League – IPL, Subrata Roy told that he will use VETO power to select enough players from Uttar Pradesh State. He further said, “We don’t have facilities to conduct IPL matches in the Uttar Pradesh but it doesn’t mean we will ignore UP”.

Some cricket experts have concern over this statement because this could lead to another controversy in the IPL. “We already have enough problems in our IPL Package, and this comment was unnecessary”, a leading commentator said.IPL Fans over Twitter reacted that if he wants to represent Uttar Pradesh than why he chooses IPL Pune, he could better choose Kanpur which was also one of the leading contester of the Bid.

But many cricket experts and fans believe that even Mumbai Indians have players from all around the country and therefore controversy should not be started on this issue until best players are ignored while selecting players from Uttar Pradesh.

The comment of Subrata Roy hints that Mohammad Kaif, Suresh Raina, Piyush Chawla, R. P. Singh and Praveen Kumar could be leading players of Sahara Pune Warriors.

The statement of Subrata Roy came when he announced Geoff Marsh as coach of Sahara Pune Warriors team for the year 2011.
